How to choose the best favourite numbers for the Pick-5 game

Posted on October 28, 2009

You are going to work your way to the best winning numbers only with pen and paper, please read carefully these three parts.

Part I: How to skip numbers

(Thanks to Robert Perkins who kindly gave me permission to publish this idea from one of his articles, you can visit his web site for more information at: www.lotto-logix.com)

For this example the latest drawn numbers for the european French Loto are used.
The French Loto is a 5/49 game where you can get money from two good numbers on.

This method can very easily be adapted to any 6/49 game.

The French Loto costs 2 euros each draw so you are going to reduce the numbers, to play them later in a wheel system to your most favour.

So, here is the procedure:

Print out the latest 16 draws.

Draw a line after the most recent 3 (Group A), the next most recent 3 (Group B), then most recent 4 (Group C), and the next two most recent 3 (Groups D and E).

This gives us two groups of 3 draws, followed by a group of 4 draws
and finally two more groups of 3 draws. Like this . . .

Group A
20091028 Wed 07-08-11-30-37
20091026 Mon 01-03-42-47-49
20091024 Sat 15-27-28-38-39
Group B
20091021 Wed 01-10-15-26-49
20091019 Mon 03-04-06-11-31
20091017 Sat 08-12-16-20-49
Group C
20091014 Wed 06-24-35-36-42
20091012 Mon 07-28-38-43-48
20091010 Sat 01-03-16-23-38
20091007 Wed 01-04-12-21-46
Group D
20091005 Mon 11-12-20-21-32
20091003 Sat 07-09-15-47-49
20090930 Wed 02-05-33-35-40
Group E
20090928 Mon 03-16-20-30-44
20090926 Sat 02-21-25-37-43
20090923 Wed 04-05-24-42-47

Write the numbers in the Loto game from 01 to 49.

If the number appears in group A or C make a check [*] next to it.
When done you should have 33 check marks. Count them.

If the number appears in group B or E and is not already
checked, put an “X” next to it. (ignore those with checks)

Let’s see how this works out . . .

01 *** 16 * 31 X 46 *
02 X 17 32 47 *
03 ** 18 33 48 *
04 * 19 34 49 *
05 20 X 35 *
06 * 21 * 36 *
07 ** 22 37 *
08 * 23 * 38 ***
09 24 * 39 *
10 X 25 X 40
11 * 26 X 41
12 * 27 * 42 **
13 28 ** 43 *
14 29 44 X
15 * 30 * 45

As you can see we have 35 checks [*] and 7 with an “X” so we
eliminated 7 numbers from play.

ONLY PLAY THE NUMBERS WITH AND WITHOUT CHECK MARKS, don’t play the
numbers with “X” next to them.

And the winning draw on 2009-oct-31 was 23-27-30-36-39
all from the checked and blank numbers a success!!!

The author says this works about 45% of the time. When it does as
in this case we eliminated 7 numbers from play taking the
game from a 5/49 to a 5/42 reduction in odds!!!

Part II: Create your frequency chart

Take again pen and paper and write down the numbers for the French Loto game from 01 to 49.

Then count the numbers and make a check mark every time a number is drawn.
Remember to leave out the numbers marked with an “X”

01 **** 16 *** 31 X 46 *
02 X 17 32 * 47 ***
03 **** 18 33 * 48 *
04 *** 19 34 49 ****
05 ** 20 X 35 **
06 ** 21 *** 36 *
07 *** 22 37 **
08 ** 23 * 38 ***
09 * 24 ** 39 *
10 X 25 X 40 *
11 *** 26 X 41
12 *** 27 * 42 ***
13 28 ** 43 **
14 29 44 X
15 *** 30 ** 45

Take this simple clasification

(H) HOT: Numbers comming out three or more times.
(C) COLD: Numbers that never came out.
(A) AVERAGE: All the other numbers comming out 1 or two times.

Part III: Choose the good numbers in balanced proportion

Well, there are not fixed proportions for this.. try to use some logic and inspiration..
cold numbers may be ready to come out go from 1 to 49, balance them with hot and average, play and enjoy.

You can use intelligent wheels to multiply your winnings.
And if you play the 6 pick game you can easily adapt all these methods.
